Foreword

My friend Munish Jindal, who is in profession of coaching Civil Servant

aspirants since 2012, has come out with a new edition of book ‘The

Punjab Review’ documenting recent developments in various fields of

economy, polity, government initiatives and basic statistics of Punjab;

tailor-made for those appearing in Punjab Civil Services exam later this

year.

Punjab is not only a geographical area, but Punjabis have come to signify a

special kind of spirited behaviour. Those who intend to administer

residents of this geographical stretch have to be fully armed with facts and

culture of this region.

This book covers all these areas, for it has sections on Political theory and

Punjabi language. Munish himself has mastered art of coaching and is

successfully running IAS & PCS Academy, named The Master’s Nook in

Sector 36, Chandigarh.
